Based in Dronfield, Derbyshire just outside Sheffield, UK, Apple Tree Hill is an independent studio owned by photographer Charlie Barker and her team who can provide you with a professional, reliable and personal service.

 

We have experience photographing royalty, weddings, family portraits, events, commercial, journalistic work and an extensive library of artistic photography. 

 

Owner, Charlie oversees work for a range of regular clients and has had her images featured in several exhibitions around her home town of Sheffield, published in regional newspapers and featured on BBC Look North as part of historical photography group, Pictures of Sheffield Old & New.​ She is also a published photography writer with articles featured for PhotoBox, providing tutorials for their readers.

 

She founded her business in 2003 and worked self-employed throughout her university studies at Sheffield Hallam. After graduating with a BA Hons in Media & Journalism (major) with Public Relations (minor), she undertook further training in photography at the Sheffield College. ​

 

The business is experienced in teaching photography skills workshops for beginners to advanced levels; in school's workshops, small groups or one to one tuition for hobbyists or business clients.
